CONSTAB and the Institute for Plastics Technology at the University of Stuttgart have developed a special process for producing thermofilms more sustainably by saving energy and materials. This project was funded by the German Federal Environment Foundation (DBU).
DBU Deutsche Bundesstiftung Umwelt – Press release
With our new product CONSTAB® CON-Batch 30X, films can be produced more densily and more firmly – at the same time, the film thickness can be reduced by around 25% and the heating power by around 20%. The result is a significant saving in carbon dioxide.
Further advantages are the improvement of mechanical and optical properties as well as a decrease of water and oxygen permeation.
CONSTAB® CON-Batch 30X can be used in mono films and can therefore be easily recycled. This is a major contribution to keeping resources in circulation.
